Today is my Birthday, and I awoke to a massive singsong of Happy Birthday.
For Breakfast we had an assortment of fruit and healthy food, like yoghurt, muesli and pomegranate freshly picked from the tree.
After breakfast we went to the fruit and veg market and bought the shopping for the day. While there we were each designated an item to ask for to practice our Spanish.
Then we had our first workshop with Ruth, and I thoroughly enjoyed it because we did allot of drama games which left us feeling calm and alert.
We had free time after Ruth’s lesson and I spent a lot of it reading by poolside, whereas others swam.
Then, it was teatime and the food was absolutely gorgeous; I was really impressed with how the tastes complimented each other. We had Paella with squid, clams and mussels which I had never tasted before.
To top it all off, everyone had made me a card and bought me the most beautiful and delicious chocolate cake ever.
I had an amazing day and it couldn’t have been better.
Thank you everyone for my birthday and making it extra special
Tyffany
Hi Tyffany, Hope I’m not too late to say ‘many happy returns’. I really felt good reading about how you felt your birthday was especially good with Esteem at Cortijo Vadillo. I was on the project there last year and did ‘Imagework’, personal goal finding sessions, and it was great to see peoples confidence growing.
What you wrote reminded my of that other great week and I really feel it was worth all the hard work of starting up the charity. Thank you, Val, (Cat’s very proud Mum)
Aww yeah what tou and cat do is an Inspiration too be honest. You made a real difference to my life and i know you have affected the other girls too in a positive because without your charity we wouldn’t of been able to go abroad or expereince the spanish culture. This trip had changed me. Im soo glad i spent my 18th with Esteem and the amasing group. It wouldn’t of been special other wise.
Many Thanks
Tyf
P.S. I am writing a poem for Esteem and once i ahve done it. I will email it to Cat
